Hi guys, hoping all is well in your sewing and non sewing worlds… I’m stupidly busy at work at the moment, so not a lot of sewing time, but I did manage to squeeze a few more projects to sew & show you before the end of April.
As I anticipated in the previous post, I did end up making more Inaris, this time the top version, with a few alterations. It was meant to be a quick project, but it took me a bit longer than I thought. On the plus side, I do love the outcome and already wore it 4 times since I finished it last Saturday. So here she is, my baby Inari top!
Hi there, sewing boys and girls, hope you’re enjoying yourselves wherever you are! I am certainly having a good time writing this post on a train to Leeds, on my way to a fantastic sewing for charity event that’s happening tomorrow and Tuesday. Read more on Making for Charity’s Facebook page if you’re curious and if you’re local, come and say hello!!
In the meantime, please allow me to entertain you with a new completed sewing project, and ooh boy, there haven’t been that many of those lately… I did get to do a bit more sewing in April, so a few new things for me to wear for Me Made May, which I will photograph and blog about shortly (here’s hoping!). (more…)
I’ve been a really good girl and managed to make some savings in the past few months, must be all those clothes I’m not buying – oh wait, I spent that on fabric already *blushes in embarrassment*. Anyway, last month I was pressing a silk blouse and my otherwise fairly ok iron, a Tefal, spat out hot water like the devil and left a fab imprint of watermarks in the shape of iron holes. So this made me think I should maybe look for a new iron, or, even better, a steam generator iron, otherwise know as a pressure (or boiler) iron.
Hi everyone, how’ve you been?
As my little title picture might suggest, there is some sort of spring feeling, at least from an astronomical perspective, if not meteorologically just yet… Here’s hoping, though, especially now that we’ve changed to British summer time!
On the other hand, March has passed so quickly, and sadly, very little sewing has taken place in my atelier… So this post might end up being a bit more of a travel log than a sewing related round-up, but hope you’ll still find something to enjoy…
So here are some of the the highlights of this month.
