After a fairly productive week of sewing, I had a beautiful pair of pink culottes to show you. Unfortunately, I wore them to work on Friday and managed to spill something down the front and they were no longer blog pictures worthy. So I am changing the tactic and bringing you the review of the class that gave me some very useful tips to make said culottes.

My life is full of trousers in various stages of completion at the moment. I have taken a break from jeans making with a bit of culottes making, and a break from that with a top, which I thought will be a quick make. But since we’re talking Burda Style here, of course it was anything but. However, still a nice little top to show for it, plus a really cool photo shoot on top of the Shard to delight you with.

Things I’ve learnt in May

So I’m a bit late again with these post, but I’m not giving up… By the end of the year, I’ll get back on track, somehow…

I still haven’t gotten over how quickly May has gone by. It’s like I blinked and I missed it… And unfortunately, not a lot of sewing got done either, so I will keep this one short and sweet, with only one point this month.

I have been making my second pair of Ginger Jeans in May (still not finished, let’s not talk about it). The first time around I had a lot of issues with the  topstitching thread and ended up using two strands of normal thread through the eye of the needle at the same time. Details here.
