A few weeks ago, I saw a random post on a Facebook in a group about a new pattern organising app. It’s called quite intuitively, Sewing Patterns. It’s been developed by a lovely Danish gentleman, Claus Pedersen who can coincidentally code, to help out his sewing-loving wife, Lise. And they made it available for the rest of the sewing world on the App store.
I’m not one for the regular sewing magazines, as I never actually have the patience to actually read the content. The only ones that do attract me are the pattern magazines. I do love Burda, with all its limitations, and I feel I get so much for my money because of the tons of free patterns, but they also have such great styling and photography. My husband is away indulging in his time consuming and expensive hobby – karting, so I had the house to myself and absolutely no chores, plans or obligations to take me out of the house. I have been mentioning this class an awful lot, so time has come to do a proper review. No secret, I absolutely love Sara Alm, her classes on Craftsy and the concept of Craftsy in general. So spoiler alert, this is a positive review!

Today I wanted to share another little organising tip for your sewing room. Since I started sewing almost 7 years ago, I have managed to gather quite a few quilting rulers and pattern makers and when I was organising my sewing room, I had to come up with a solution to keep them tidy and accessible. I’m not gonna lie, I’m a bit of a compulsive organiser. I do love to have everything a nice neat box, or several, and to be able to get to what I’m looking for as easily as possible. Last year, I reorganised my sewing room and put all my haberdashery into a divider box. However, as time went by, I realised that this is not the best solution for items that I need to use very often, especially for my sewing machine needles. It really annoyed me to dig under the table, open the box, close the box etc. So…
I discovered many French sewing blogs via Instagram – you know how that goes, you follow one, they suggest loads others. I am lucky that I can speak French, so I had no trouble following the words and well as the pics, but believe me, a picture speaks 1000 words and many of them are worth checking out just to browse the stunning images.
